Good policy needs great champions.
Good public policy depends on good public servants to champion that policy.
State Focus conducts programming that helps develop those current and future public leaders into a robust network of policy champions.
We also maintain a staff network that matches these public officials with quality professional staff to accomplish their policy objectives.
The leadership development program revolves around a regular convening of legislative leaders from active and prospective State Focus states — bringing a better competitive policy balance to state legislatures and local governments in the Southeast and beyond.
Part Four · Roadmap
A deliberate build, state by state.
Our goal is full operations in three states by Year Three, focused on Southeastern and Midwestern states where the need is greatest. The model gets stronger the more states it reaches.
Year Zero
2022
Research, planning, and initial seed funding.
Year One
2023
Initial deployment in a home state; establish a relationship with at least one additional state.
Year Two
2024
Growth in the home state; deepening relationships in two additional states.
Year Three
2025
Full operations across three total states, with initial engagement in two more.
